Join us at 9 a.m. August 5, 2020 as the First 5 Orange County Children and Families Commission meets via Zoom.
The meeting will begin with a presentation by Pritzker Fellow Hoda Shawky on the capstone project for her Fellowship, the OC Perinatal Mental Health Toolkit.
Other agenda items include the process for updating the Strategic Plan and discussion of consolidated strategies to achieve First 5 Orange County’s vision, an update on the Prenatal-to-Three systems work and approval of matching funds for a home visitation grant from First 5 California, allocation of funds to help address the immediate needs of Orange County child care providers, and proposed adoption of newly created Guidelines for Policy Positions and Engaging Leadership that will allow First 5 OC staff to support policies that improve outcomes for young children.

The Commission is accepting public comments to be submitted by emailing them to First5OC@cfcoc.ocgov.com. The comments will be distributed to all of the Commissioners and read into the record. If you wish to comment on a specific agenda item, please identify the item in your email. General public comments will be addressed during the general public comment item on the agenda. In order to ensure that staff has the ability to provide comments to the Commissioners in a timely manner, please submit your comments by 12 p.m. on August 4, 2020.
