Earlier this month, community leaders, educators, practitioners and researchers came together for the Early Childhood Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (ECSTEM) Conference in Costa Mesa. The three-day event featured nationally known keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions and hands-on demonstrations of ECSTEM instruction.
A highlight from the annual event was The Teaching Lab, a typical early childhood classroom set up on-site. The arrangement gave teachers practical tools and ideas to easily incorporate science, math, engineering and technology into their own classrooms. The set-up showed educators how to make these subjects approachable and exciting for young children with cost-effective ideas and projects.
If you were unable to attend the 2015 conference, here are a variety of photos to give you an inside look at The Teaching Lab. For a full gallery of images from the event, click here.
