California Launches Free Infant Botulism Information Hotline

Dec 12, 2025 | News & Announcements

In response to recent nationwide cases of infant botulism, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has opened a toll-free resource line to help parents, caregivers, and providers access accurate information and guidance. Anyone with questions or concerns can contact CDPH at 1-833-398-2022 for support.

Health officials are urging families who use ByHeart infant formula to stop using it immediately and consult their health care provider if a child displays possible symptoms of botulism.
