First 5 OC President/CEO Kim Goll had the opportunity to meet with the National Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Suza. She and her team are touring sites throughout the United Sates and Canada to identify promising practices and areas of exploration as they investigate ways to improve England’s outcomes for children.
Pretend City Children’s Museum was identified as a promising practice that highlights the importance of play in early childhood development. Kim was able to share with the Commissioner and her team about First 5 OC’s work with the Early Developmental Index, the report on the Conditions of Children, and Kid Builders developmental activities.
