Join us at 9 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023, as First 5 Orange County meets in person.
The meeting will be held at Orange County Transportation Authority Conference Center, 550 South Main Street, Orange, CA. Members of the public can listen to live audio streaming of the meeting via phone or Zoom.
At the February meeting, the Board will hear a presentation on the Early Development Index (EDI) and have a chance to see how the data is being used to make an impact for children and families in Orange County. We’ll share ways that First 5 OC and our partners are working to present the data more equitably, and how we are leveraging the EDI data with our systems work, partnerships, and Engaged Neighborhoods. A gallery walk of posters illustrating the EDI in action will be available for viewing in person and online.
There is an agenda item on home visiting services, including consideration to release of a Request for Information for Community-Based Home Visiting. There will be an update on First 5 OC’s Long-Term Financial Plan and revenue projections given the recent voter initiative which banned the sale of flavored tobacco products. The Board will also receive an update on First 5 OC’s Equity Commitment, a restructure of the Technical Advisory Committee, and our family engagement work.
