It is now estimated that 1 of 90 children will be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ADS). The “Summit on Autism” will be an exciting and informative forum of differing views on treatments to empower parents to make informed decisions about care for their children. It also will inform you about the most cutting-edge work being done in our region for ASD and include a book signing by actor Holly Robinson Peete, the parent of an autistic child. This community oriented program, in collaboration with UC Irvine and CHOC, is the vision of businessman Fariborz Maseeh. The program, “Kids Institute for Development and Advancement” (KIDA)( www.kida.com ) is designed to be a fully integrated center of excellence for the treatment of ASD in southern California.
