School, early care and education (ECE) providers: We need your input!

Mar 14, 2024 | News & Announcements

The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) is working with community, county and health care partners to conduct a health needs assessment for the maternal, child, and adolescent (MCA) population. Since you work closely on a daily basis with the MCA population, your voice is critical to incorporate into our comprehensive assessment.

We ask that you complete only one survey, based on your role working with the infants, children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete. As a survey respondent, you should complete the questions based on your own role(s), the services you provide, and your experience, not that of the overall agency or organization that you work for.

School and Early Care and Education (ECE) Provider Survey:  This survey is intended for faculty and staff working in schools, ECE facilities, colleges and universities with infants, children, and adolescents/young adults up to age 21 years. Examples of who should complete the survey include administrators, aides, early care providers, educators, health clerks, health services (e.g., nurses, medical assistants, physicians), mental health staff, or speech therapists, etc., working in an educational setting.

Background: The maternal, child, and adolescent health (MCAH) needs assessment will identify priority needs for preventive and primary services for pregnant women, infants, children and adolescents up to age 21 years, and children and youth with special health care needs. In addition to quantitative data analysis from health systems and programs, we are including qualitative assessment of the needs and priorities from community stakeholders, service providers and families. Health needs that are identified will inform our priorities and interventions for the next five years. Your insights are valuable to us.
