We’re excited to introduce a valuable new resource created by Detect & Connect OC, a cross-sector collaborative between organizations, including First 5 OC, dedicated to ensuring children receive timely essential well visits and developmental screenings and are connected to the services they need as early as possible.
Early intervention is critical to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. By working together, we can make these vital resources accessible to families and help children thrive. We learned about the barriers and challenges parents/caregivers face through a series of focus groups throughout the county, and developed messages based on their guidance.
If you work with families, this resource could be a valuable tool in guiding them toward essential screenings and services. Feel free to share it with colleagues, parents, and caregivers who may benefit.
All materials were developed in collaboration with community members and rigorously reviewed by families and local healthcare experts to ensure they meet the needs of our community.
