Survey responses needed for Universal Preschool Needs Assessment — Family Survey

Nov 27, 2023 | News & Announcements, Partners & Providers

Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) is the expansion of the state’s mixed delivery system to meet the early education needs of 3- and 4-year-old children and their families. UPK is an important part of a statewide effort to provide whole-child support for children and families and transform California’s schools to be more community-focused and equitable.

The Orange County Childcare and Development Planning Council (LPC) housed at the Orange County Department of Education in partnership with Children’s Home Society of California is leading the efforts in Orange County and we need your help. We want to hear from families about their experiences looking for and choosing a preschool so that we may better understand the needs of our community.

We want to hear from families who:

Are looking for a preschool for your child for the upcoming school year
Have a current 3- or 4-year-old in preschool at either a family child care provider, private/corporate child care program, Head Start, or in a school district program
Have a child that is attending a district-run Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kinder and attended a preschool program last year

Please take a moment to complete our Universal Preschool Needs Assessment — Family Survey. Orange County will also be hosting family focus groups in Spring 2024. If you are interested in participating in a focus group, please indicate interest on the survey.

We appreciate your time and feedback.
