First 5 OC proudly hosted the inaugural “Spring Into Action” Community Clothing Exchange at the Village; it was a morning of support, connection, and shared resources for local families. The event was created in response to a growing need for basic essentials identified by our Perinatal Community Health Worker (CHW), particularly among families referred by Bridges hospitals and home visiting providers.
Thanks to the generosity of community donations, the event provided more than 300 items of clothing(newborn to 5T) and baby items to families.
Families were invited to “bring what they can and take what they need,” creating a welcoming, dignified space centered on mutual support. We are grateful to our partners, donors, and volunteers who made this event possible and helped ensure local families have access to the resources they need.
